Jaroslaw Makowski

Polish philosopher, theologian and commentator, former director of The Civic Institute, a Warsaw-based political think-tank. In 1999-2004 he worked at the Tygodnik Powszechny (Eng. The Catholic Weekly) – a Polish Roman Catholic weekly magazine, then up to 2007 he was a member of the team of Krytyka Polityczna (Eng. The Political Critique) – a circle of Polish left-wing intellectuals gathered around a journal of the same title. His articles are published also by the Gazeta Wyborcza daily, Rzeczpospolita, Więź, W drodze and Newsweek.
